...AREAS OF BLACK ICE CREATING HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS THIS
MORNING...

MELTING ICE AND SNOW COUPLED WITH OVERNIGHT TEMPERATURES IN THE
20S HAVE CREATED AREAS OF BLACK ICE. THE ICY SPOTS ARE MAINLY ON
BRIDGES...OVERPASSES AND EXIT-ENTRANCE RAMPS. THE NORTH CAROLINA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ADVISES THAT IF YOU MUST GO OUT...TO
USE EXTREME CAUTION AND TO SLOW DOWN. THEY ALSO REPORT SEVERAL
ACCIDENTS DUE TO SLICK ROADS ACROSS BOTH THE TRIAD AND TRIANGLE
REGIONS THIS MORNING.

ROAD CONDITIONS WILL BEGIN TO IMPROVE AFTER 9 AM AS TEMPERATURES
BEGIN TO WARM TO NEAR FREEZING.
