.A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL CONTINUE MOVING SOUTH OF THE AREA
THROUGH TONIGHT. COLDER AIR WILL ALLOW RAIN TO SWITCH TO A WINTRY
MIX ACROSS NORTH CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA... LASTING THROUGH THIS
EVENING. AFTER MIDNIGHT... AS TEMPERATURES DROP BELOW FREEZING...
BLACK ICE WILL DEVELOP AREAWIDE... AND WILL POSE A TRAVEL HAZARD

WEATHER ADVISORY FOR BLACK ICE...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT
TONIGHT TO 10 AM EST FRIDAY.

* LOCATIONS...MUCH OF THE SANDHILLS AND SOUTHERN COASTAL PLAIN...
  INCLUDING SOUTHERN PINES... FAYETTEVILLE... CLINTON...
  ALBEMARLE... AND SURROUNDING AREAS.

* HAZARD TYPES...BLACK ICE ON SIDEWALKS AND ROADS.

* TIMING...TEMPERATURES WILL DROP BELOW FREEZING BETWEEN MIDNIGHT
  AND 2 AM ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA... CAUSING ANY
  WETNESS ON ROADS AND SIDEWALKS TO FREEZE. READINGS ARE LIKELY TO
  STAY BELOW FREEZING UNTIL MID MORNING FRIDAY.

  TRIAD AND TRIANGLE... ROXBORO... ROCKY MOUNT... AND ROANOKE
  RAPIDS... AS WELL AS WAYNE AND JOHNSTON COUNTIES.

* HAZARD TYPES...A LIGHT WINTRY MIXTURE OF MAINLY SLEET... WITH A
  LITTLE FREEZING RAIN AND WET SNOW THIS EVENING... AND BLACK ICE
  ON SIDEWALKS AND ROADS OVERNIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING.

* ACCUMULATIONS...ICE ACCUMULATIONS MAY REACH A TRACE TO A FEW
  HUNDREDTHS OF AN INCH... WHILE ACCUMULATIONS OF SLEET AND WET
  SNOW MAY APPROACH A HALF INCH.

* TIMING...RAIN WILL TRANSITION TO A WINTRY MIX FROM NORTH TO
  SOUTH BETWEEN 4 PM AND 7 PM... AND CONTINUE THROUGH THE EVENING
  BEFORE PRECIPITATION ENDS FROM WEST TO EAST TOWARD MIDNIGHT.
  THEN... AFTER MIDNIGHT... TEMPERATURES WILL DROP BELOW
  FREEZING... CAUSING ANY WETNESS ON ROADS AND SIDEWALKS TO FREEZE
  INTO BLACK ICE. READINGS ARE LIKELY TO STAY BELOW FREEZING UNTIL
  LATE MORNING FRIDAY.
