...NWS Damage Survey for 03/15/24 Severe Weather Event...

.Overview...
A line of severe thunderstorms moved into western Alabama just after
5 AM CDT on March 15. As the line progressed eastward through the
area, sporadic wind damage, mainly to trees, was observed.

.Survey Summary:
A survey of areas around Kennedy, Millport, and Vernon revealed no
appreciable area of damage, although a few trees were snapped or
uprooted sporadically. Along County Line Rd, just north of Highway 18
and approximately 0.5 miles east of the Mississippi state line, three
trees were uprooted at one residence. The trees fell in a divergent
manner and no other damage was observed either west nor east of the
single residence.
