...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Massachusetts...Connecticut...

  Connecticut River At Northampton affecting Hampshire and Hampden
  Counties.

  Connecticut River At Thompsonville affecting Hartford and Hampden
  Counties.

  Connecticut River At Hartford affecting Hartford and Middlesex
  Counties.

  Connecticut River At Middle Haddam affecting Middlesex County.

For the Connecticut River...including Middle Haddam, Northampton,
Hartford, Thompsonville...Minor flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

The next statement will be issued Sunday morning at 1000 AM EDT.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL TOMORROW EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Connecticut River at Northampton.

* WHEN...Until tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS...At 113.0 feet, Minor flooding will affect portions of
  Northampton in the vicinity of the Oxbow and Hadley along Aqua
  Vitae Road. Farming interests in Hatfield outside flood dike
  protection will experience flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 112.5 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 112.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:00 PM EDT Saturday was 112.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 112.6
    feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
    flood stage late tomorrow morning.
  - Flood stage is 112.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Connecticut River at Thompsonville.

* WHEN...Until Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Lowland flooding will begin along the
  Connecticut River near Thompsonville.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:30 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 15.5 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:30 PM EDT Saturday was 15.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    tomorrow evening and continue falling to 13.5 feet Tuesday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Connecticut River at Hartford.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Flooding is expected along the river in
  portions of Wethersfield, Glastonbury, Rocky Hill and Cromwell.
  The high waters and swift flows will disrupt some cross river
  ferry services. Upstream of Hartford, flooding will continue to
  affect portions of Windsor. Immediate river roads may become
  impassable in all of these communities. Further downstream
  flooding will continue to overspread sections of Portland,
  Middletown as well as Chester.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:30 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 19.3 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:30 PM EDT Saturday was 19.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.2
    feet late tomorrow morning.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Connecticut River at Middle Haddam.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 9.5 feet, Flooding closes most of Meadow Road, Route
  17A, in the Gildersleeve section of Portland. Flooding impacts the
  Middletown Marina and Meadow Farms. In Cromwell, portions of River
  Road will be closed. In Rocky Hill, parts of Meadow Road will be
  impassable for a time. Flooding continues along the river
  southward through Essex.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:55 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 8.8 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:55 PM EDT Saturday was 8.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will fall to 8.6 feet just after
    midnight tonight. It will then rise to 9.5 feet early Monday
    morning. It will fall to 9.4 feet early Monday morning. It
    will then rise to 9.6 feet late Monday morning. It will fall
    again but remain above flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
