Fire Weather Planning Forecast For NE Kansas/NW Missouri
National Weather Service Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO
304 AM CDT Sun May 5 2024

.DISCUSSION...

More tranquil weather conditions are expected today as surface
high pressure over the region shifts towards the western Great
Lakes. A disturbance could lead to the development of showers and
thunderstorms this afternoon across central Missouri south of
I-70. Farther north, conditions are expected to remain dry.
Additional storms are expected across the region Monday night as a
cold front works through the region. Some of these storms could
be severe producing strong gusty winds. Additional storms are
possible across the region on Wednesday.
