...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WESTERN LEAVENWORTH COUNTY
THROUGH 1230 AM CDT...

At 1203 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Tonganoxie, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Leavenworth, Lansing, Tonganoxie, Basehor, Linwood, Reno, Fairmount,
and Jarbalo.

This includes Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 206 and 222.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 AM CDT for
northeastern and east central Kansas.
