This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Overnight.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Strong southeast winds kick in Monday afternoon and evening, with
gusts to around 45 MPH.

These strong winds, combined with low humidity, may result in
critical fire danger for far southwestern portions of the area. A
Fire Weather Watch is in effect for Furnas, Phillips, and Rooks
Counties...please refer to the Watch statement for more details.

Thunderstorms become possible late Monday afternoon and evening,
with increasing chances through the night. Some of these storms
could be severe, and there could be more than one round of storms
affecting different parts of the area. Hail to the size of golf
balls, damaging wind gusts over 60 MPH, and a few tornadoes are
possible. The most likely time frame for severe storms is between
7 PM to 3 AM.

Chances for thunderstorms continue during the day Tuesday and even
into Tuesday evening. A few of these storms could be strong,
although the main threat for severe weather will shift to our
east.

Also Tuesday into Tuesday night, strong winds shift to out of the
northwest, with gusts of 45 to 55 MPH likely.

Looking beyond the primary weather concerns early in the week,
another very small chance for what would likely be weak
thunderstorms arrives to some areas late Wednesday night.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight, but storm
spotters are encouraged to report any instances of severe weather
and possible thunderstorm-related damage Monday afternoon and
overnight.
