717 FNUS54 KHUN 061902 FWFHUN Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama National Weather Service Huntsville AL 202 PM CDT Mon May 6 2024 .DISCUSSION... Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms could develop on Tuesday afternoon and linger into the early evening timeframe. Some of these storms could be strong to severe producing damaging winds and large hail. Southwesterly 20 foot winds of 10 to 15 mph with gusts around 25 mph are expected. Southwesterly transport winds between 20 and 25 mph are expected. Mixing heights will to between 5000 and 6500 feet in the afternoon. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected. 20 foot winds will become southerly and be between 10 and 15 mph with gusts to around 25 mph possible. Transport winds from the south between 20 and 25 mph area expected. Mixing heights should climb to around 6000 feet. Fog potential over the next few days: None is expected due to strengthening gradient winds. Potential for Red Flag Conditions: Due to high afternoon relative humidity values, none are expected.
