...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN-MOST NEW
HANOVER...SOUTHWESTERN PENDER AND NORTHEASTERN BRUNSWICK COUNTIES
THROUGH 715 PM EDT...

At 631 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Riegelwood, or 14 miles northwest of Leland, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Leland, Northwest, Long Creek, Phoenix, Ashton, Wrightsboro,
Belville, Navassa, St. Helena, and Sandy Creek.

This includes the following highways...
 US Route 17 in Brunswick County near mile marker 44.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
