Open Lake Forecast for Lake Erie
National Weather Service Cleveland OH
331 PM EDT Wed May 1 2024

For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Erie

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...
A ridge averaging 30.10 inches persists through Thursday before
shifting east and weakening. This will allow a weak warm front to
lift across the lake Thursday night. A weak cold front will then
slowly pivot eastward across the lake Friday night into early
Saturday before stalling or washing out near the Appalachians by
Saturday night. High pressure of 30.00 inches will start to build in
from the western Great Lakes Sunday and remain in control through
early Monday before a warm front approaches from the southwest late
Monday.
