Open Lake Forecast for Lake Ontario

For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 29.6 inch low over Lake Huron at midday will slowly
track east across Lake Ontario late this afternoon and tonight. A
weak trough will persist over the lake on Sunday...then weak high
pressure over West Virginia will nose northward over the region
Sunday night. A wavy cold frontal boundary over Lower Michigan on
Monday will slowly work across the lake on Tuesday. A 30.0 inch
high centered over western Ontario on Wednesday will settle across
the Lower Great Lakes Wednesday night and Thursday.

Showers likely late. Waves 2 feet or less.
.TONIGHT...Southeast winds 10 knots or less. Showers likely
early, then a chance of showers. Waves 2 feet or less.
.SUNDAY...North winds 10 knots or less becoming southwest. Waves
1 foot or less.
.SUNDAY NIGHT...South winds 10 to 15 knots. A chance of showers
overnight. Waves 2 feet or less.
.MONDAY...South winds 15 to 20 knots becoming southwest 10 to
15 knots. Showers likely with a chance of thunderstorms. Waves
2 to 4 feet subsiding to 1 to 3 feet.
.TUESDAY...Southwest winds 10 to 15 knots becoming north. Showers
likely. Waves 1 to 2 feet.
.WEDNESDAY...North winds 10 to 15 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet.
