The National Weather Service in Newport has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Central Hyde County in eastern North Carolina...

* Until 830 PM EDT.

* At 804 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Swan Quarter
  Ferry Terminal, or 25 miles north of Cedar Island, moving northeast
  at 60 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Swindell Fork, Gull Rock, New Holland, Nebraska, Lake Landing,
  Middletown, and Swan Quarter Ferry Terminal.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
