THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR WESTERN AND CENTRAL WYOMING.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

AREAS OF DENSE FOG IN THE WIND RIVER BASIN THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

LATE SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY MORNING...SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL
AND WIND EXPECTED IN THE WESTERN MOUNTAINS AND POSSIBLY THE LOWER
ELEVATIONS...ESPECIALLY FROM THE JACKSON VALLEY NORTHWARD. SNOWFALL
AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 FEET ARE POSSIBLE IN THE WESTERN MOUNTAINS WITH
SOME OF THE LOWER ELEVATIONS FROM THE JACKSON VALLEY INTO
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK POTENTIALLY RECEIVING 6 TO 12 INCHES.
THE AIRMASS DOES WARM CONSIDERABLY ON SUNDAY LEADING TO SOME LOWER
VALLEY LOCATIONS...ESPECIALLY SOUTH OF JACKSON...POTENTIALLY
CHANGING TO A RAIN/SNOW MIXTURE SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

STRONG TO HIGH WINDS ARE ALSO EXPECTED ACROSS THE RED DESERT...
INTERSTATE 80 CORRIDOR...SOUTH PASS AND JEFFREY CITY AREA TO CASPER
SUNDAY INTO MONDAY MORNING AND ALSO THE ABSAROKA MOUNTAINS AND
ADJACENT CODY FOOTHILLS. THE STRONG WINDS ARE THEN EXPECTED TO SHIFT
TO THE NORTHWEST WIND FAVORED AREAS MONDAY INTO MONDAY NIGHT...
ESPECIALLY FROM DUBOIS TO RIVERTON AND FROM THE UPPER GREEN ACROSS
SWEETWATER COUNTY.

WEDNESDAY...A NEW STORM SYSTEM WILL DEVELOP TO OUR WEST SPREADING
SNOW FROM SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST ON CHRISTMAS EVE. STAY TUNED OVER
THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS ON THIS POTENTIAL TRAVEL IMPACTING STORM ON
CHRISTMAS EVE THROUGH CHRISTMAS DAY FOR CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST
WYOMING.
