URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RIVERTON WY
308 AM MDT SAT AUG 22 2015

...WIDESPREAD RED FLAG CONDITIONS THIS EVENING WITH FOCUS
SHIFTING TO THE SOUTHWEST ON SATURDAY...

WE HAVE MOVED PAST PEAK HEATING AND ARE MOVING INTO THE EVENING
HOURS. WIND SPEEDS WILL REMAIN ELEVATED AHEAD OF THE DRY COLD
FRONT...THAT IS JUST MOVING INTO CENTRAL MONTANA AS OF 1800...
WHICH WOULD STILL PUT IT INTO NORTHWEST WYOMING AT AROUND
2100 AND INTO THE NORTHERN BIGHORN BASIN SHORTLY THEREAFTER...AND
WELL INTO CENTRAL WYOMING BY 0300. EXPECT WINDS TO INCREASE
RAPIDLY FROM THE NORTHWEST BEHIND THE FRONT IN NORTHERN WYOMING
TONIGHT. RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL BE HIGHER BUT THE SUDDEN WIND
SHIFT WILL STILL BE HAZARDOUS TO ANY EXISTING FIRES AT THE TIME
OF THE FRONTAL PASSAGE.

THE FRONT WILL BRING LOW LEVEL MOISTURE AND COOLER TEMPERATURES
SATURDAY...ENDING EXTREME FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ACROSS THE
NORTH AND CENTRAL AREAS. HOWEVER HIGH FIRE DANGER WILL RETURN
ACROSS THE SOUTHWEST WITH BREEZY WESTERLY WINDS AND VERY LOW
HUMIDITY IN THE AFTERNOON.
