SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT

ABSAROKA MOUNTAINS-YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK-
922 PM MDT SAT AUG 30 2014

NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO
MOVE EAST ACROSS YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK THROUGH MIDNIGHT.
THERE WILL LIKELY BE A BRIEF LULL IN PRECIPITATION DURING THE PRE-
DAWN HOURS.  PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO INCREASE OVER YELLOWSTONE
NATIONAL PARK AND THE ABSAROKA RANGE AROUND SUNRISE SUNDAY AND
CONTINUE THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING.  SNOW LEVELS ARE EXPECTED TO LOWER
TO NEAR 9000 FEET SUNDAY MORNING WITH A FEW INCHES OF SNOW POSSIBLE
ABOVE THIS LEVEL.  A COLD RAIN IS LIKELY BELOW 9000 FEET WITH
TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 30S TO LOWER 40S FROM 7500 TO 8000 FEET.

CAMPERS AND OUTDOOR RECREATIONALISTS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR COLD
AND WET CONDITIONS.  MOST CASES OF HYPOTHERMIA OCCUR IN THE SUMMER
MONTHS IN WYOMING`S HIGH TERRAIN.
