Casper Mountain-Natrona County Lower Elevations-
436 PM MDT MON AUG 14 2017

...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR EAST CENTRAL NATRONA COUNTY UNTIL
500 PM MDT...

At 434 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Beartrap Meadows on Casper Mountain, moving northeast around 40 mph.

Hail up to one-half inch diameter, wind gusts of 35 to 45 mph, brief
heavy rainfall, and dangerous lightning are all likely with this
storm.

It looks like the main core of this storm will cross Hat Six Road
south of I-25 and then cross I-25 near the Converse County line.
This would keep the strongest part of the storm south and east of
Casper.

This includes Interstate 25 between mile markers 176 and 182.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
