SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT

CASPER MOUNTAIN-NATRONA COUNTY LOWER ELEVATIONS-
427 PM MST WED DEC 24 2014

VERY WINDY CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE IN THE CASPER AREA THROUGH THE
EVENING...ESPECIALLY ON OUTER DRIVE OR WYOMING HIGHWAY 258 ON THE
SOUTH SIDE OF CASPER.  OBSERVATIONS WERE SHOWING SOUTHWEST WINDS
AROUND 40 MPH WITH GUSTS OF 53 TO 58 MPH ON OUTER DRIVE LATE THIS
AFTERNOON.  THESE WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO TAPER OFF ONLY SLIGHTLY
THIS EVENING AND THEN RAPIDLY DIMINISH AFTER MIDNIGHT.

THE WYOMING DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ADVISES NO LIGHT TRAILER
TRAFFIC ON WYOMING BOULEVARD...HIGHWAY 258...BETWEEN MILLS AND
EVANSVILLE DUE TO WIND SPEEDS ABOVE 50 MPH. THESE WINDS MAY CAUSE
LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL OR A BLOW OVER TO HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES
TRAVELING EMPTY OR WITH A LIGHT LOAD. DRIVERS OF SUCH VEHICLES ARE
ADVISED TO DELAY TRAVEL.
