...INCREASING SOUTHWEST WIND LATER WEDNESDAY...

THE APPROACH OF AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE AND AN ASSOCIATED DRY
FRONT FROM THE WEST WILL INCREASE BOTH THE SURFACE PRESSURE GRADIENT
ALONG WITH WINDS ALOFT BY MID TO LATE AFTERNOON ON WEDNESDAY. THIS
WILL RESULT IN WEST TO SOUTHWEST SURFACE WINDS ACROSS THE MOUNTAINS
INCREASING TO 30 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS AROUND 65 MPH POSSIBLE BY MID
TO LATE EVENING WEDNESDAY. AT LOWER ELEVATIONS...THE SOUTHWEST WINDS
WILL BLOW 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS OF 40 TO 50 MPH POSSIBLE AT TIMES.
THE STRONGEST WINDS ARE LIKELY TO OCCUR NORTH TO NORTHWEST OF CODY
NEAR CLARK AND OVER THE CHIEF JOSEPH HIGHWAY.

ALONG WITH WINDS ALOFT BY MID TO LATE AFTERNOON ON WEDNESDAY. THIS
WILL RESULT IN WEST TO SOUTHWEST SURFACE WINDS ACROSS THE MOUNTAINS
INCREASING TO 30 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS AROUND 60 MPH POSSIBLE BY MID
TO LATE EVENING WEDNESDAY. THE STRONGEST WINDS ARE LIKELY TO OCCUR
ALONG AND JUST DOWNWIND OF THE MOUNTAIN RIDGE LINES.

ALONG WITH WINDS ALOFT BY MID AFTERNOON ON WEDNESDAY. THIS
WILL RESULT IN WEST TO SOUTHWEST SURFACE WINDS INCREASING TO 20 TO 30
MPH WITH GUSTS OF 45 TO 55 MPH POSSIBLE BY MID AFTERNOON
WEDNESDAY. WINDS WILL LIKELY DECREASE SOMEWHAT ACROSS THE LOWER
ELEVATIONS BY EARLY WEDNESDAY EVENING...A COUPLE OF HOURS LATER IN
THE MOUNTAINS. THE STRONGEST WINDS ARE LIKELY TO OCCUR FROM THE SOUTH
PASS AREA...EAST ACROSS NORTHEASTERN SWEETWATER COUNTY...EASTERN
FREMONT COUNTY AND WESTERN NATRONA COUNTY...PARTICULARLY OVER THE
AREAS MOUNTAINS AND FOOTHILLS.
