...LONG PERIOD WAVES WILL CONTINUE THROUGH HIGH TIDE TONIGHT
POSSIBLY LEADING TO SOME SPLASH-OVER AND MINOR BEACH EROSION...

.LONG PERIOD NEARSHORE WAVES 5-7 FEET WILL CONTINUE ALONG
SOUTHWEST COASTAL MAINE AND THE SEACOAST OF NEW HAMPSHIRE THROUGH
THE ASTRONOMICAL HIGH TIDE TO OCCUR NEAR MIDNIGHT. THE
ASTRONOMICAL HIGH TIDE WILL BE 11.5 FEET AT PORTLAND NEAR
MIDNIGHT. THE COMBINATION OF THE WAVES AND A STORM SURGE OF ABOUT
A HALF A FOOT WILL BRING THE STORM TIDE TO NEAR 12 FEET AND MAY
LEAD TO SOME SPLASH-OVER AROUND THE TIME OF THE LATE NIGHT HIGH
TIDE.

* LOCATION...THE NEW HAMPSHIRE SEACOAST AND THE BEACHES OF
  SOUTHWEST MAINE TO THE SOUTH OF PORTLAND.

* COASTAL FLOODING...THE COMBINATION OF HIGH ASTRONOMICAL TIDES
  AND AN ONSHORE WIND WILL CREATE A THREAT FOR SPLASH OVER AND
  BEACH EROSION NEAR THE TIME OF HIGH TIDE TONIGHT.

* TIMING...NEAR THE TIME OF HIGH TIDE TONIGHT.

* IMPACTS...THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR SPLASH OVER AND MINOR BEACH
  EROSION.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY INDICATES THAT ONSHORE WINDS AND TIDES
WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE FLOODING OF LOW AREAS ALONG THE SHORE.
