THE MONTH OF AUGUST FOR ANNETTE ISLAND, AK WAS AN ALMOST PERFECTLY NORMAL AVERAGE
AUGUST MONTH. THE REASON THE MONTH WAS JUST EVER SO SLIGHTLY AWAY FROM AVERAGE WAS
BECAUSE OF A COUPLE FRONTAL SYSTEMS THAT IMPACTED THE AREA ON THE LAST FEW DAYS
WHICH SLIGHTLY BUMPED AVERAGES AWAY FROM THE NORM. THE TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE
BOARD WERE RIGHT ON. WINDS AND FROZEN PRECIPITATION WERE AVERAGE AS WELL. THE
ONLY OUTLIER FOR THE MONTH WAS RAINFALL AND WAS ONLY SLIGHTLY BUMPED UP BECAUSE OF
THE LAST FEWS DAYS OF STEADY RAIN. APPROXIMATELY 4 INCHES OF RAIN FELL THE LAST
FEW DAYS MAKING THIS MONTHS TOTAL ONLY 2.65 INCHES ABOVE THE AVERAGE. HOPEFULLY THE
AVERAGE TREND WILL CONTINUE.
