REMARKS...

THE FIRST PART OF THE MONTH STARTED OUT MUCH ABOVE NORMAL FOR
TEMPERATURES. HOWEVER TEMPERATURES FELL WAY BELOW NORMAL FOR THE
LAST HALF OF THE MONTH. SO THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WAS 0.1 DEGREES
BELOW NORMAL. THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 11.4
DEGREES. A DAILY RECORD OF 24 BELOW ZERO OCCURRED ON DEC 27. THIS
TIED THE OLD RECORD LOW OF -24 DEGREES IN 1964. ALSO A DAILY LOWEST
MAX TEMPERATURE OCCURRED ON DECEMBER 30 WITH A HIGH OF 17 BELOW
ZERO. THE PREVIOUS DAILY LOW MAX TEMPERATURE WAS 13 BELOW ZERO SET
IN 1973.

THE TOTAL PRECIPITATION FOR THE MONTH WAS 0.77 INCHES AND WAS 0.16
INCHES ABOVE NORMAL. NO DAILY PRECIPITATION RECORDS OCCURRED THIS
MONTH.

SNOWFALL FOR THE MONTH WAS NORMAL WITH 8.2 INCHES. NORMAL IS 10.7
INCHES.
