THE MONTHLY AVERAGE TEMPERATURE RANKED AS THE 4TH WARMEST ON RECORD.
MONTHLY PRECIPITATION WAS NEAR NORMAL.

THE LOW TEMPERATURE ON THE 8TH ONLY DROPPED TO 73 DEGREES. THIS IS
THE WARMEST LOW TEMPERATURE EVER RECORDED FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER.
THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS 69 SET ON OCTOBER 7TH 2005 AND OCTOBER 4TH
AND 5TH 1986.

THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME A LOW TEMPERATURE OF 70 DEGREES OR GREATER
WAS RECORDED IN THE MONTH OF OCTOBER.

THREE DAILY WARM LOW TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE SET LAST MONTH:
A LOW OF 73 DEGREES ON THE 8TH BROKE THE RECORD OF 66 SET IN 1976.
A LOW OF 69 DEGREES ON THE 9TH BROKE THE RECORD OF 66 SET IN 1990.
A LOW OF 65 DEGREES ON THE 11TH BROKE THE RECORD OF 61 SET IN 1990.

A RECORD DAILY HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 87 DEGREES WAS SET ON THE 11TH.
THIS BROKE THE RECORD OF 85 PREVIOUSLY SET IN 1985.

TEMPERATURE AND PRECIPITATION RECORDS AT WASHINGTON DULLES
INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT BEGAN IN 1960. SNOWFALL RECORDS BEGAN IN 1962.
