...Data for North Little Rock for the Summer of 2017...

.Summary...
For the first summer in three years, temperatures were below
average. Over all, it was the coolest summer in three years.
However, high temperatures made all the difference. Averaged out,
the high temperatures were the coolest in 25 years. Rainfall was
significantly above average, and this was the wettest summer since
records began.

.Seasonal Temperatures...
The average high temperature was the coolest since 1992, and the 3rd
coolest on record. The average low temperature was the coolest since
2014. The average seasonal temperature was the coolest since 2014,
and the 6th coolest on record.

There were 28 days with temperatures at or above 90 degrees, which
was the fewest during a summer season since 2014. This was also the
2nd lowest number of 90-degree days in a summer season, with only
the summer of 2014 having a lower amount (27). There were no 100-
degree days for the second summer in a row.

.Seasonal Rainfall...
Rainfall was rather significantly above average. This was the
wettest summer since 1994, and the wettest summer on record. The
previous record was held by 1994, with 16.04 inches of rain.

There were 40 days with measurable rainfall (rain at or above 0.01
inches), which was the highest number of measurable rainfall days
ever recorded during a summer season. The previous record was during
1989, with 39 days.

.Miscellaneous Phenomena...
Hail fell on July 14th. This was the second summer in a row with
hail recorded at the station.
