...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS EVENING...

The Flood Watch continues for

* A portion of central New York...including the following
  counties...Jefferson...Lewis and Oswego.

* Until 7 PM EST this evening.

* Warm temperatures are resulting in considerable snow melt. In
addition, previous rainfall of one half to one inch with up to
an additional quarter inch possible today has and will result
in considerable runoff into area creeks and rivers.

* Significant rises are expected on waterways, including the
Black River, and its tributaries, along with the potential for
general lowland flooding. Possible flooding along the Black
River may last through the end of the week due to slow
response times. Ice jam flooding is also possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be
alert for possible flood warnings.

Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to
take action should flooding develop. Stay tuned to weather radio
or other radio and tv stations for further details or updates
