...THE FLOOD ADVISORY FOR AN ICE JAM REMAINS
IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 AM CDT FOR SOUTH CENTRAL CLARK COUNTY...

AS OF 845 AM...AUTOMATED RIVER MONITORING GAUGES HAVE SHOWN THAT
WATER LEVELS HAVE BEEN FALLING FOR THE PAST SEVERAL HOURS. AS OF 8
AM...THE CLARK COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGER REPORTED THAT WATER HAS
RECEDED ALONG THE BANK IN THE AREA OF HIGHWAY 95...AND THAT THE
RIVER WAS NOW CLEAR OF ICE IN THAT AREA.  HOWEVER...THE FIELD OF ICE
REMAINED IN PLACE ALONG THE RIVER FROM JUST DOWNSTREAM OF THE BRIDGE
ALL THE WAY DOWN TO LAKE ARBUTUS.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AND OTHER LOCAL OFFICIALS WILL CONTINUE
TO MONITOR THE SITUATION...BUT WITH FALLING WATER LEVELS...THIS
ADVISORY WILL BE ALLOWED TO EXPIRE AT 930 AM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER
COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY DEEPER THAN THEY
APPEAR. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...
TURN AROUND...DON`T DROWN.
