THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW ORLEANS HAS ISSUED A

* URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR POOR DRAINAGE AREAS
  FOR...
  SOUTHEASTERN AMITE COUNTY IN SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI...
  SOUTHERN PIKE COUNTY IN SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI...

* UNTIL 830 PM CDT

* AT 622 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO
  THUNDERSTORMS. THIS WILL CAUSE URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING.
  OVERFLOWING POOR DRAINAGE AREAS WILL RESULT IN MINOR FLOODING IN
  THE ADVISORY AREA. UP TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN HAVE ALREADY FALLEN.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  MAGNOLIA...OSYKA...GILLSBERG AND MCCOMB AIRPORT.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL OF ONE TO TWO INCHES IS EXPECTED OVER THE AREA.
THIS ADDITIONAL RAIN WILL MAKE MINOR FLOODING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TURN AROUND...DON`T DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.

A FLOOD ADVISORY MEANS RIVER OR STREAM FLOWS ARE ELEVATED...OR PONDING
OF WATER IN URBAN OR OTHER AREAS IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.
