FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
401 AM EDT TUE AUG 30 2016

.DISCUSSION...AN UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE REMAINS JUST
OFF THE SOUTH CAROLINA/GEORGIA COAST. THIS SYSTEM WILL REMAIN ALONG
THE COAST THROUGH MID-WEEK. ATMOSPHERIC ENERGY WITH THIS SYSTEM
AND GOOD MOISTURE WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT AT LEAST ISOLATED TO
SCATTERED AFTERNOON AND EVENING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EACH DAY.

POOR DISPERSION WILL CONTINUE EACH MORNING WITH A GENERALLY WEAK
PRESSURE GRADIENT. SOME CLOUDINESS TOGETHER WITH MINIMAL RADIATIONAL
COOLING WILL FAVOR ONLY PATCHY LIGHT FOG EACH MORNING...DESPITE GOOD
LOW-LEVEL MOISTURE.

SURFACE WINDS WILL BE FROM THE NORTH-NORTHEAST LESS THAN
5 MPH AFTER DAYBREAK...THEN BECOME EAST-NORTHEAST AT 5 TO 10 MPH
BY AFTERNOON. TRANSPORT WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 10 TO 15 MPH.
RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL DROP TO NEAR 45 PERCENT.
