Fire Weather Planning Forecast for PENNSYLVANIA
National Weather Service STATE COLLEGE PA
253 PM EDT Mon May 29 2017

.DISCUSSION...
A trough of low pressure will stall out across the Susquehanna
Valley this afternoon before pushing slowly back to the west
tonight. Wind convergence along this boundary and plenty of
sunshine to its west will lead to the chance for showers and
perhaps a few isolated thunderstorms. The wind will BE
westerly over the western half of the state, but stay light
and east to southeasterly to the east of the Susquehanna Valley.

Min RH will not get below 70 pct in the east, but will
dip to near 50 pct elsewhere. But, the RH climbs to near
100 pct for most of the area tonight.

Another surface trough/weak cold front will approach from the
west tonight and move into Central PA on Tuesday. This front
will trigger showers and thunderstorms for the daytime on
Tuesday. Some of these storms could become strong to severe
Tuesday afternoon, creating brief strong, gusty winds and
perhaps a few instances of large hail.

RH will dip into the 50s in the west, but stay up around 70 pct
in the east.
