Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Southeast Texas
National Weather Service Houston/Galveston TX
402 AM CDT Sun Aug 20 2017

.DISCUSSION...
Light south to southeasterly winds can be expected over the next several days.
Better coverage of showers and thunderstorms is expected tomorrow as
the surface high weakens and moves to the northeast. An area of disturbed
weather associated with an upper level low will also help to increase the
chance for scattered to widespread precip beginning Sunday and lasting through
mid-week. Gusty winds can be expected beneath stronger storms. Minimum relative
humidities should range between 35-45 percent further inland to around 60-70
percent along the coast. Over the next few days, mixing heights will also range
between 7000-8000 feet during peak heating and lowering to less than 1000 feet
early morning. High pressure should begin to build back in by mid-week.
