FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR THE HEARTLAND
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
301 PM CDT THU JUL 31 2014

.DISCUSSION...
THE PRESENCE OF A PERSISTENT TROUGH IN THE UPPER AIR PATTERN OVER
THE HEARTLAND WILL PRESENT AN OPPORTUNITY FOR WIDELY SCATTERED
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE REGION FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF
DAYS. HOWEVER...THE CHANCE OF ANY ONE SPOT RECEIVING WETTING RAIN
IS VERY SLIM. AFTER THAT...RAIN FREE CONDITIONS WILL PREVAIL
THROUGH MID WEEK UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF AN EXPANSIVE RIDGE OF HIGH
PRESSURE OVER MUCH OF THE SOUTHWESTERN AND CENTRAL PARTS OF THE
COUNTRY. HUMIDITY MINIMUMS WILL BE QUITE LOW FOR THE NEXT COUPLE
OF AFTERNOONS IN THE PENNYRILE REGION OF KENTUCKY AND ADJACENT
PARTS OF NORTHWESTERN TENNESSEE. AS TEMPERATURES STEADILY RISE
NEXT WEEK...HUMIDITY LEVELS SHOULD GENERALLY DECREASE ACROSS THE
REGION.
