FRIDAY NIGHT. SATURDAY WILL BRING A DRYING TREND BUT REMAIN MUCH
COOLER THAN NORMAL AS THIS STORM EXITS INTO THE GREAT BASIN. DRY
WEATHER WITH A DAY TO DAY WARMING TREND CAN BE EXPECTED SUNDAY
THROUGH TUESDAY AS AN UPPER LEVEL RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS
OVER CALIFORNIA.

A STORM SYSTEM ORIGINATING IN THE GULF OF ALASKA WILL BRING WET
WEATHER AND MUCH COOLER TEMPERATURES TO THE DISTRICT FRIDAY THROUGH
FRIDAY NIGHT. PRECIPITATION WILL BEGIN IN THE SIERRA LATER TONIGHT
AND LINGER OVER THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS INTO SATURDAY AS THE STORM
EXITS INTO THE GREAT BASIN. THE STORM WILL BRING HEAVY SNOW TO THE
SIERRA ABOVE 6000 FEET AND A WETTING RAIN IN THE LOWER ELEVATIONS.
SATURDAY WILL BE BRISK AND COOL IN THE WAKE OF THIS STORM WITH A
FEW SHOWERS LINGERING OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN. DRY WEATHER WITH A
DAY TO DAY WARMING TREND CAN BE EXPECTED SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY AS
AN UPPER LEVEL RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS OVER CALIFORNIA.
