SPOT FORECAST FOR BAKER FACE RX
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SALT LAKE CITY UT

.DISCUSSION...HIGH PRESSURE WILL CENTER OVER THE REGION TODAY
ALLOWING FOR CLEAR AND DRY CONDITIONS. LIGHT SURFACE WINDS ARE
EXPECTED THIS MORNING BUT TRENDS WILL BE INCREASE THIS AFTERNOON
FROM THE SOUTHWEST AND EVENTUALLY WEST BY LATE DAY. JUST ENOUGH
INSTABILITY IS IN PLACE TO ALLOW FOR GOOD VENTILATION...ESPECIALLY
AFTER 12/1300 WITH TRANSPORT WINDS AVERAGING WEST SOUTHWEST AROUND
15 TO 20 MPH ALOFT. A SPLITTING STORM SYSTEM WILL BEGIN MOVING
INTO THE STATE TOMORROW...AND THE SOUTHERN PIECE TRACKING SOUTH OF
THE AREA WILL INCREASE AFTERNOON BUILDUPS AND BRING A CHANCE FOR
AN ISOLATED SHOWER OR STORM AFTER 2100 TOMORROW. DOES NOT LOOK
LIKE A WETTING RAIN POTENTIAL HOWEVER. A BETTER CHANCE FOR WETTING
RAINS LOOKS TO COME SATURDAY WITH WINDS TRENDING A LITTLE MORE
NORTH OF WEST...BUT NO SIGNIFICANT FRONTAL WIND SHIFT IS EXPECTED
AT THIS TIME.
