FRONT TO BRING GALE CONDITIONS WEDNESDAY...

.AREAS OF DENSE MARINE FOG CONTINUE TO PERSIST ALONG THE LOWER
TEXAS COAST...LAGUNA MADRE...AND COASTAL WATERS OUT 60 NAUTICAL
MILES EAST OF PADRE ISLAND. THESE CONDITIONS WILL LIKELY PERSIST
THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING. A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL SWEEP ACROSS THE
LOWER TEXAS COAST WEDNESDAY NIGHT WITH GALE CONDITIONS LIKELY
BEHIND THE FRONT.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BROWNSVILLE HAS ISSUED A GALE
WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH
THURSDAY EVENING.

* WINDS...25 TO 35 KNOTS GUSTING TO 4O TO 45 KNOTS.

* WAVES/SEAS...SEAS INCREASING TO 9 TO 12 FEET.

* VISIBILITY...VISIBILITY VALUES OF ONE QUARTER OF A MILE OR
  LESS WITH RAPID CHANGES IN VISIBILITY.

* IMPACTS...NAVIGATING CLOSE TO SHORE...ESPECIALLY IN THE VICINITY
  OF STRUCTURES LIKE THE SOUTH PADRE ISLAND JETTY... PORT
  MANSFIELD JETTY...AND QUEEN ISABELLA MEMORIAL CAUSEWAY... WILL
  BE EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS. ONCE THE FRONT PASSES VERY DIFFICULT AND
  HAZARDOUS NAVIGATION CONDITIONS IN THE LAGUNA MADRE AND GULF OF
  MEXICO WATERS OF THE LOWER TEXAS COAST.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A GALE WATCH IS ISSUED WHEN WINDS OF 34 TO 47 KNOTS ARE
POSSIBLE...GENERALLY BEYOND 36 HOURS OUT. THE SPECIFIC TIMING AND
OR LOCATION IS STILL UNCERTAIN. THE WATCH IS INTENDED TO PROVIDE
ADDITIONAL LEAD TIME FOR MARINERS WHO MAY WISH TO CONSIDER
ALTERING THEIR PLANS.
