...GUSTY WINDS EXPECTED TO AFFECT PORTIONS OF THE SANTA BARBARA
COUNTY SOUTH COAST AND THE ANTELOPE VALLEY|...

.Gusty west to north winds are expected to increase behind a cold
front that will be moving through the forecast area later today
and this evening. Cold northwest to north winds will develop
across the Santa Barbara South coast late this afternoon through
this evening. Winds will then shift to the north to northeast
tonight into early Saturday morning putting the focus of the winds
across the Montecito area.

...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 10 AM PST
SATURDAY...

The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard has issued a
Wind Advisory, which is in effect from 3 PM this afternoon to
10 AM PST Saturday.

* WINDS AND TIMING...Northwest to north winds between 20 and 30
  mph with gusts to 40 mph will develop late this afternoon across
  the western portion of the Santa Barbara South Coast, mainly
  from Goleta to Gaviota. Winds will then shift to the north to
  northeast late affecting the Montecito area. Local gusts to 50
  mph in Montecito late tonight into early Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will make driving difficult, especially
  for high profile profile vehicles. This includes Highways 101,
  154 and 192...as well as the Gaviota and San Marcos.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

When driving, use extra caution. Be prepared for sudden gusty
cross winds.

...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 PM PST
SATURDAY...

The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard has issued a
Wind Advisory, which is in effect from 10 PM this evening to
10 PM PST Saturday.

* WINDS AND TIMING...West winds between 20 and 30 mph with gusts
  to 45 mph will develop this evening Winds will shift to the
  northwest late tonight into early Saturday morning when gusts to
  50 mph are expected. Strongest winds will occur across the
  western portion.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will make driving difficult, especially
  for high profile vehicles. This includes Highways 14 and 138,
  especially near the foothills. There will be local blowing sand
  and dust which could lower visibilities down to a quarter mile
  or less at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

When driving, use extra caution. Be prepared for sudden gusty
cross winds.
