Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Tropical N Atlantic
from 07N to 22N between 55W and 64W, the SW N Atlantic S of
31N W of 65W including Bahamas, and the Caribbean Sea.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for Caribbean Sea and Tropical N ATLC from 07N to 19N
between 55W and 64W

.SYNOPSIS...Fresh to strong trades will prevail in the southern
part of the central Caribbean through late Wednesday morning.
Fresh to locally strong winds will prevail across the Gulf of
Honduras mainly during the evening and night hours through early
Thursday. A trough in the western Caribbean near 83W will move
westward slowly towards the Yucatan Peninsula through Thursday
accompanied by scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms
with gusty winds and rough seas.

SYNOPSIS FOR THE SW N ATLC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS

.SYNOPSIS...The center of Hurricane Maria at 26/1500 UTC is N of
area near 33.6N 73.1W 971 mb moving N or 360 degrees at 6 kt.
Maximum sustained winds are 65 kt with gusts to 80 kt. Maria is
forecast to continue to pull further away from the forecast area
through tonight. Winds and seas associated with Maria will
decrease gradually through Wednesday night. A trough will extend
SW from the N-central waters to the Central Bahamas in the wake
of Maria through Wednesday night, and become diffuse on
Thursday. High pressure will build westward across the eastern
part of the area. A weak cold front is expected to approach the
SE United States on Friday, then weaken across the far NW waters
on Saturday as strengthening continental high pressure builds
southward over it. The resulting gradient is expected to increase
the NE to E winds across the NW waters on Saturday along with
building seas.
