...JUNE 2015 CLIMATOLOGICAL SUMMARY FOR NORTHEASTERN AND CENTRAL
NEVADA...

1 JUNE - STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MOVED ACROSS NORTHERN
NEVADA.

3-6 JUNE - A SLOW MOVING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM BROUGHT SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS TO THE REGION. SMALL HAIL AND A FUNNEL CLOUD WERE REPORTED
EAST OF CLOVER VALLEY. RAINFALL WAS SCATTERED ABOUT THE REGION...BUT
SOME LOCATIONS DID RECEIVE HEAVY RAINFALL. TEMPERATURES WERE NEAR NORMAL

7-9 JUNE - HIGH PRESSURE BUILT INTO THE AREA WITH ABOVE AVERAGE
TEMPERATURES ACROSS NEVADA.

10-11 JUNE - A STORM SYSTEM WITH REMNANT MOISTURE FROM HURRICANE BLANCA
PRODUCED WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. SOME AREAS RECEIVED VERY
HEAVY RAINFALL...WHICH RESULTED IN AREAS OF FLASH FLOODING. MOST OF THE
FLOODING WAS IN CENTRAL NEVADA...WHERE THE MOST PERSISTENT STORMS SETUP.

12-15 JUNE - ISOLATED AFTERNOON SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPED
IN EASTERN/NORTHERN NEVADA. TEMPERATURES WERE ABOVE NORMAL.

16-18 JUNE - WARM AND DRY WITH ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES.

19-25 JUNE - VERY WARM AND DRY WITH STRONG HIGH PRESSURE. JUNE 21ST
WAS QUITE GUSTY ACROSS THE AREA.

26-30 JUNE - STRONG HIGH PRESSURE BUILT INTO THE AREA AND REMAINED
CENTERED OVER EASTERN NEVADA. MANY VALLEY LOCATIONS WERE IN THE 100S...
WITH SOME LOCATIONS IN THE MIDDLE 100S. THE HOTTEST PORTION OF THE AREA
WAS ACROSS THE LOWER VALLEYS ALONG THE I80 CORRIDOR. A FEW SMALL FIRES
WERE STARTED ACROSS THE AREA DUE TO DRY THUNDERSTORMS.
