FIRE DANGER STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LITTLE ROCK AR
245 AM CST SUN FEB 7 2016

...ELEVATED FIRE DANGER REMAINS ACROSS A LARGE PORTION OF ARKANSAS
TODAY...

THANKS TO GENERALLY DRY CONDITIONS OF LATE AND DRY AIR OVER THE
AREA...FIRE DANGER WILL REMAIN ELEVATED OVER A LARGE PART OF THE
STATE. THE ARKANSAS FORESTRY COMMISSION IS REPORTING THAT THE ENTIRE
STATE IS IN A MODERATE WILDFIRE DANGER.

AFTERNOON HUMIDITY IS EXPECTED TO DROP INTO THE 30S ONCE AGAIN OVER
A LARGE AREA OF THE STATE. WINDS WILL BE A LITTLE BIT STRONGER THIS
AFTERNOON VERSUS THE PAST FEW DAYS AS A FRONTAL BOUNDARY MOVES INTO
THE NORTH DURING THE AFTERNOON HOUR. THESE STRONGER WINDS WILL HELP
TO ENHANCE WILDFIRE DANGER EVEN MORE.

MUCH STRONGER WINDS ARE EXPECTED ON MONDAY IN THE WAKE OF THE
BOUNDARY SO ADDITIONAL WILDFIRE DANGERS ARE EXPECTED.

OUTDOOR BURNING IS STRONGLY DISCOURAGED...AND IS NOT RECOMMENDED IN
SOME AREAS. AS OF THIS MORNING...SEVERAL COUNTIES ARE UNDER BURN
BANS.
