...River Statement For The Lower Cahaba River...

Minor overflow continues along the lower Cahaba River following
heavy rainfall over the weekend. However...levels are expected to
remain below established flood stages...and any overflow along the
river should be of a minor nature.


The Cahaba River At Marion Junction.
 Latest stage:     16.5 feet at 7 PM Monday.
 Caution stage:    15.0 feet.
 Flood stage:      36.0 feet.
 Forecast:         Crest near 16.8 feet tomorrow early afternoon
                   and then begin to fall.

statements concerning this event.

Another statement will be issued Tuesday morning...or sooner if
conditions warrant.
