SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL OVER THE GILA RIVER BASIN WILL RESULT IN
SIGNFICANT FLUCTUATIONS IN RIVER STAGES OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS.
WHILE LOCALIZED FLOODING OF ARROYOS...STREAMS...AND TRIBUTARIES
IS LIKELY...THE GILA RIVER ITSELF IS NOT EXPECTED TO EXCEED
FLOOD STAGE AT THIS TIME.

HOWEVER...THE RIVER WILL APPROACH FLOOD STAGE AT VIRDEN LATE
TONIGHT...AND EXPECTED TO CREST NEAR 14 FEET BETWEEN 9PM AND
MIDNIGHT. STAY TUNED FOR LATER STATEMENTS AS THE EFFECTS OF
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL ARE RE-EVALUATED.
