...A crest near flood stage is forecast for the following location
along the Canadian River...

  For the Canadian River at Purcell...

* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

* The latest stage was 10.85 feet at 4 AM Monday.

* The Canadian River is forecast to crest near 11.8 feet
  early Wednesday morning.

* Impact...When the Canadian River reaches 12.0 feet at Purcell...
  Shallow flooding of low-lying areas occurs near the river on the
  Cleveland-McClain County border from near Norman...and Noble to
  the vicinity south of of Purcell and Lexington.

  People in flood prone areas should continue to monitor water
  levels...and be prepared to seek higher ground should water levels
  rise suddenly.  Stay tuned for further information by listening to
  weather radio or local media sources.
