REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FOR WESTERN KANSAS

After the dense fog lifted earlier this morning, high clouds and
spring-like temperatures were observed across the High Plains this
afternoon. High temperatures today ranged from the mid 40s in
Central Kansas to the upper 60s and lower 70s across the western
half of the state.
As a weak upper level disturbance moves across the Southern Plains
on Friday afternoon, a stronger trough will dig into the Central
Rockies late Friday. In the meantime, surface troughing on the lee
side of the Rockies will move south as another cold front moves into
western Kansas from the north later Friday. Partly cloudy skies are
expected tonight with a chance for some patchy fog after midnight.
Partly sunny skies are expected on Friday with slightly cooler
temperatures. By Friday evening, there will be an increased chance
for some light rain with the possibility for snow after midnight.
Lows tonight will be in the lower to mid 30s across the Central
Plains. Highs on Friday will range from the lower 40s in
northeastern Colorado to the mid 60s in central Oklahoma.
