Rip Current Risk:      Low risk. The risk for rip currents is low,
                       however, life threatening rip currents
                       often occur in the vicinity of the South
                       Padre Island jetties. Remember to swim near
                       a lifeguard.

Lightning Risk:       None.

Ultraviolet Index:     High. Wear a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses,
                       and use sunscreen of SPF 15 or higher. Seek
                       shade during the midday hours of 10 am to 4 pm.

Weather:               Mostly sunny. Isolated showers. Chance of
                       rain 20 percent.

Temperatures:          Lower 80s.

Wind:                  East northeast 5 to 10 mph.

Wave Heights:          2 to 4 feet.

Surf Temperature:      78 degrees.

Bay Temperature:       78 degrees.

Tides:                 A low at 9 08 am. A high at 4 40 pm.
                       A minor low at 10 47 pm.

Outlook:               An elevated risk for rip currents is
                       possible tonight through the weekend.
                       High temperatures will continue to push
                       into the low to mid 80s each day. Shower
                       80s through the end of the week. Isolated
                       to scattered showers and thunderstorms
                       will remain possible through the weekend.
