406 AM CST Mon Feb 19 2018

...COMPLEX MIXED WINTRY PRECIPITATION EVENT TO UNFOLD ACROSS
CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN MINNESOTA INTO WESTERN WISCONSIN TODAY
THROUGH TUESDAY...

.A wintry mix of precipitation is expected to develop across the
area this morning, and continue at times through Tuesday. Up to
a quarter inch of an inch of ice accumulation will be possible
southeast of a line from New Ulm to St. Michael Minnesota
continuing to Rice Lake Wisconsin, including around a tenth of an
inch of ice in the Twin Cities metro and in the Mankato area.
Highest snowfall totals of 4 to 6 inches with this event are
expected along and northwest of a line from Montevideo to
Cambridge Minnesota. Storm total snowfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches
are expected southeast of that line.

Light snow over west central Minnesota this morning will become
more widespread across the entire area throughout the day. Areas
along and south of a line from New Ulm to St. Michael Minnesota to
Rice Lake Wisconsin will see freezing rain mix in with the snow
at times. After precipitation diminishes this evening, a second
round of mainly snow will move in early Tuesday morning and
continue through the first half Tuesday. The heaviest snow with
the second round of precipitation will mainly impact western into
central Minnesota. The precipitation will wind down altogether
Tuesday afternoon.

Winter Weather Advisories remain in effect for the entire coverage
area today through 6 PM CST Tuesday.
