...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM MST SUNDAY...

* AFFECTED AREA...THE WASATCH AND WESTERN UINTA MOUNTAINS OF
  NORTHERN UTAH.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...ADDITIONAL AMOUNTS OF 8 TO 16 INCHES
  EXPECTED BY MID MORNING SUNDAY.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THESE MOUNTAIN RANGES...
  HEAVY AT TIMES...THROUGH TONIGHT. THE SNOW WILL BEGIN TO TURN
  SHOWERY AFTER MIDNIGHT THEN WILL TAPER OFF RAPIDLY EARLY SUNDAY
  MORNING.

* WINDS...WESTERLY WINDS GUSTING UP TO 50 MPH AT TIMES ALONG THE
  RIDGELINES INTO SUNDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS...MOST OF THE MOUNTAIN ROUTES ARE RUNNING JUST WET AS OF
  MID AFTERNOON BUT WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS WILL REDEVELOP
  ACROSS ALL MOUNTAIN ROUTES AFTER SUNSET CONTINUING INTO SUNDAY
  MORNING. THIS INCLUDES PARLEYS SUMMIT ON I-80 AND LOGAN SUMMIT
  ON US-89. BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW MAY REDUCE VISIBILITIES IN
  EXPOSED AREAS PERIODICALLY TONIGHT...ESPECIALLY OVER LOGAN
  SUMMIT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS A MIXTURE OF HEAVY SNOW AND STRONG
WINDS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. DRIVING CONDITIONS MAY BE
HAZARDOUS. USE CAUTION. BE PREPARED FOR SUDDEN RESTRICTIONS IN
VISIBILITY DUE TO BLOWING SNOW. KEEP A WINTER STORM SURVIVAL KIT
IN YOUR VEHICLE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY HAS ISSUED A
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM
MST SUNDAY.

* AFFECTED AREA...THE WASATCH MOUNTAIN VALLEYS.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...NEW SNOW AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES ARE
  EXPECTED BY MID MORNING SUNDAY.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL CONTINUE AT TIMES TODAY THROUGH MIDNIGHT THEN
  TURN SHOWERY. THE SNOW WILL TAPER OFF RAPIDLY EARLY SUNDAY.

* SNOW LEVELS...AROUND 6500 TO 7000 FEET LATE THIS AFTERNOON
  LOWERING BELOW 5000 FEET THIS EVENING.

* IMPACTS...MOST ROUTES THROUGH THE MOUNTAIN VALLEYS ARE RUNNING
  JUST WET AS OF MID AFTERNOON BUT WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS WILL
  REDEVELOP ACROSS ALL OF THESE AREAS BY LATE EVENING AND WILL
  CONTINUE INTO EARLY SUNDAY MORNING. THIS INCLUDES I-80 FROM
  PARLEYS TO ECHO CANYON...I-84 FROM MORGAN TO ECHO JUNCTION AND
  US-40 FROM I-80 THROUGH DANIELS CANYON.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL CONTINUE AT TIMES THROUGH MOST OF TONIGHT
  THEN TAPER OFF RAPIDLY EARLY SUNDAY.

* IMPACTS...ROUTES THROUGH THESE AREAS ARE MOSTLY RUNNING JUST WET
  AS OF MID AFTERNOON BUT SNOWY CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO
  REDEVELOP AGAIN LATE TODAY LASTING THROUGH TONIGHT. THESE WINTER
  DRIVING CONDITIONS WILL IMPACT TRAVEL ACROSS THESE AREAS TONIGHT
  INTO SUNDAY MORNING. THIS INCLUDES I-80 ACROSS SOUTHWEST
  WYOMING...US-40 OVER DANIELS SUMMIT AND US-6 OVER SOLDIER
  SUMMIT.
