This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southwest Virginia, and
portions of central West Virginia, northeast West Virginia,
northern West Virginia, southeast West Virginia and southern West
Virginia.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

A strong and complex low pressure system will cross the area Friday
through Friday night. The system will bring rain with over an inch
possible in some areas. Minor flooding may occur in low lying and poor
drainage areas.

Rain will change to snow overnight Friday night into early Saturday
morning. There could also be freezing rain or sleet in the
transition. Much uncertainty still exists in the overall details, but
slick driving conditions may be an issue by Saturday morning. Any
slick conditions that develop could persist Saturday, with
temperatures falling through the day.

Virginia, southern West Virginia and western West Virginia.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

possibly a period of freezing rain or sleet in the transition. Much
uncertainty still exists in the overall details, but possible
impactful winter weather and forecast snowfall totals may warrant a
an advisory or winter storm watch at a later time.
