850 FNUS54 KMAF 100828 FWFMAF Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX 328 AM CDT Fri May 10 2024 .DISCUSSION... Overall fire weather concerns remain low for today and Saturday as good to excellent recoveries and wetting rains are expected. Dry air moves back in over the Davis Mountains and to points west on Sunday and Monday brining near critical fire weather conditions. Fuel dryness may be mitigated somewhat by rain and the presence of high clouds before drier and sunnier conditions prevail into the middle of the coming week. && For point-specific forecasts please see the Point Fire Weather Matrix product issued by the Midland/Odessa National Weather Service Office.
