840 FNUS56 KMFR 092111 FWFMFR Fire Weather Forecast for southern Oregon and northern California National Weather Service Medford, OR 211 PM PDT Thu May 9 2024 .DISCUSSION...A thermal trough along the coast will result in warmer temperatures in the afternoon today, Friday and Saturday. Gusty east breezes will remain into Friday morning, with east winds diminishing along the coast and interior westside valleys Friday afternoon as the thermal trough moves inland. Dry and very warm weather away from the coast is expected Saturday. Meanwhile at the coast relative humidities will be higher with low clouds that could give way to some sun in the afternoon. A weak disturbance will bring slight cooling Sunday with a slight chance of late afternoon and early evening thunderstorms over portions of northern California. The warm and dry weather will persist into next week.
