The largest solar event of the period was a C7 event observed at 18/0538Z from Region 3679 (S08W07). There are currently 9 numbered sunspot regions on the disk. # :Solar_Forecast: Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is likely to be moderate with a chance for X-class flares on days one, two, and three (19 May, 20 May, 21 May). # :Geophysical_Activity: Geophysical Activity Summary 17/2100Z to 18/2100Z: The geomagnetic field has been at quiet to minor storm levels for the past 24 hours. Solar wind speed reached a peak of 517 km/s at 17/2145Z. Total IMF reached 11 nT at 17/2213Z. The maximum southward component of Bz reached -9 nT at 17/2203Z. Electrons greater than 2 MeV at geosynchronous orbit reached a peak level of 222 pfu. # :Geophysical_Forecast: Geophysical Activity Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at quiet to active levels on day one (19 May), quiet to minor storm levels on day two (20 May) and unsettled to active levels on day three (21 May). Protons have a slight chance of crossing threshold on days one, two, and three (19 May, 20 May, 21 May).
