...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of northern Muscogee,
southwestern Talbot and southeastern Harris Counties through 1045 AM
EDT...

At 1010 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was near Fortson, or near
Smiths, moving east at 70 mph.

HAZARD...Up to 40 mph wind, pea sized hail and frequent cloud to
         ground lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
         light, unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Waverly Hall, Upatoi, Goat Rock Lake, Ellerslie, Flat Rock, Laurel
Hills, Green Island Hills, Midland, Cataula, Columbus Metropolitan
Airport, Baughville, and Fortson.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 500 PM EDT for west central
Georgia.
