Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains
National Weather Service Goodland KS
226 AM MDT Fri Apr 26 2024

Over the past 24 hours, the Tri State region has seen high
temperatures range widely due to cloud cover from the 60s and 70s
east of Highway 25, up to the mid and upper 80s west of there.
Lows during this time ranged in the 50s. Severe weather did
impact the entire region yesterday, especially north of the
Interstate. There were reports of large hail, isolated tornadoes,
damaging winds and even heavy rainfall in some locales.

OUTLOOK... There will be chances for showers and thunderstorms
today as a low pressure system exits the region. This weekend,
severe weather is possible again, especially Saturday afternoon
and evening. Any precipitation tapers on Sunday, giving way to
dry conditions next Monday and Tuesday, followed by low chances
for more convection from next Wednesday onward.
